Mengna Da 笪梦娜 is a curator, writer, and podcaster based in Brooklyn. She researches and creates content around gender issues in pop culture, politics between visibility and invisibility, and transformational forces of new media and fantasy.
She currently works as Special Programs Manager at Jenny Holzer Studio. In the past years, she has landed dozens of exhibitions, public commissions, screenings and programs across the globe as Xu Bing’s Studio Manager and Open Society Foundations’ Curatorial Coordinator. Her art and cultural criticism has been published in ArtForum, Brooklyn Rail, Hyperallergic, ArtAsiaPacific, Artsy, 《博物馆评论》 among others. She has facilitated and translated programs at MoMA, MIT, Yale University, The New School, West Bund Museum Shanghai and more.
Beyond artistic fuzziness, Mengna co-produces podcast “AbusiveSnacks 美西螈与东方巨龙” which scrutinizes pop culture and delivers slices of today’s abusive reality.
