Mengna Da 笪梦娜 is a curator, writer, and podcaster based in Brooklyn. Her research and artistic interests involve: transformational forces above the digital horizon, socially engaged art, gender topics in pop culture, and politics behind visibility and invisibility.
She currently works as Curatorial/Exhibitions Coordinator at Open Society Foundations. For the past few years, she has realized dozens of exhibitions, projects, and programs across the globe as Xu Bing‘s Studio Manager. Her art and cultural criticism have appeared in renowned media outlets in the U.S. and abroad, including Brooklyn Rail, Hyperallergic, ArtAsiaPacific, Artsy, ViCE China Creators, 博物馆评论 among others. She has interpreted and facilitated programs at MoMA, MIT, Yale University, The New School, NEW INC, and more.
Beyond artistic fuzziness, Mengna co-produces podcast “AbusiveSnacks 美西螈与东方巨龙” which scrutinize pop culture and delivers slices of today’s abusive reality.
